Jason Jones is a Canadian actor and comedian. His father is a traditional Welsh cobbler. He graduated from the Ryerson Theater School in Toronto with a minor in Botany. He is a trained cellist from a music school and is enthusiastic about collecting rock, mineral, and fossil. He married fellow correspondent Samantha Bee in 2001. The couple has a daughter named Piper Bee-Jones who is nearly three years old and a son named Fletcher Jones who is one year old.
Although Jason has appeared in more than twenty television shows, he is perhaps best known for his work as a correspondent on The Daily Show. His other shows on television include The Itch, Jailbait, The Thin Blue Lie, Mutant X, Terminal Invasion, Eloise at the Plaza, Queer as Folks, As the World Turns and How I Met Your Mother etc. In addition he has worked in movies like Midnight Temptations, After Alice, A Packing Suburbia, Public Domain, Phil the Alien, Cooper’s Camera and All About Steve etc., with the last one currently under post production. In addition he has also been the writer for Comedy Now, Sketch Com, The Itch, The Bobroom and Cooper’s Camera besides writing and producing Ham and Cheese. Jason has also been nominated for three Canadian Comedy Awards.
Role In The Daily Show

In the Daily show he is a White House correspondent. He joined the show as a contributor in September 2005 but was promoted to a full time correspondent when his wife left the show on family leave.
